Philip Clarke has over twenty (20) years’ experience as a trained teacher who has tutored oral communication, public speaking,public relations, dance choreography and drama.
He is a practitioner in dance, acting, directing, and theatrical productions and founded his own performing arts company, Dance Spirit Performing Arts which was in existence from 2003 to 2015.
Philip Clarke won two Actor Boy awards in 2010 and 2019 for his role as Best Supporting Actor in a stage play and in 2024, he was nominated for Best Actor in a Lead Role. As a Performance Coach he trains performing artists and public speakers in the art of performance so that they can become their best self.
He was the President of the Western Knight Toastmaster Club from 2013 to 2014 and in 2022 was awarded Best Speech Evaluator at the District level in Toastmasters International.
As a film actor, he was cast in the 2024 released HBO series, Get Millie Black and is the creator and host of the podcast Lights,Camera: Real Life which airs on YouTube and Spotify.
He lectures part time in Oral Communication and Professional Voice and Speech at the University of Technology, Jamaica where his substantive post is Director of Arts and Culture at the Centre for the Arts.
